How to Decorate for the 4th of July

The 4th of July is such a fun holiday. Not only do we get to celebrate the freedoms that we have as a country, but we get to celebrate it with family and friends.

So how do you decorate for an Independence Day party without spend a ton of money on cheap decor from the grocery store? Keep reading my friend!

I love to have the American flag as a part of our home, I have ours hanging on the front porch of our house. BUT as I look at the racks of 4th of July items at the store, I kind of cringe! All of the plastic waste made for one use on that shelf!

The following are pictures that I have saved from Pinterest. You can see my Pinterest page HERE and follow the picture links there for more information.

It’s the 4th of July, so it’s great to use the flag SOMEWHERE. But I also love the use of the color red here to go with the theme. And the cute goodie bag! LOVE!

Join me today on Starfish Cottage for a Nautical Fourth of July table AND a fun design challenge!
Another pretty table showing that you don’t necessarily need to decorate with stars and stripes to put together a good looking table.

This table inspires me- even if I have no flag decorations, I can still make a beautiful table with items of red, white, and blue.
Red, White, & Oooh! Here's Everything You Need for a Fourth of July Bash | Deck your tables with fresh red flowers displayed in blue glass bottles. You can stick to one type or mix a variety of buds (ranunculus, anemones, and Gerber daisies, for example). Just keep the palette consistently rosy. Arrange the bottles in clusters, or line them down the center of the table.  (Blue wine bottles, Home Brew It, $13/12;
Simple, blue bottles with red flowers- genius! Take ordinary and use it to celebrate!
Decorating for the Fourth of July or Red, White and Blue decor
Simple-red, white, and blue lanterns. Also love the red striped table cloth, red flowers, and rope (great for at the lake/beach).

Spruce up an indoor event with a patriotic-themed mantelpiece. Decorate a chalkboard and surround it with small hints of red, white, and blue.
How simple and cute is this! Again, everyday items brought together to make perfect party decor!
Nautical Patriotic Fabric Tie Garland
This makes me want to go shopping for cute red, white, and blue patterned ribbon!
