Favorite Things for September- Things I Purchased/ Review

This month I am doing something a LITTLE different and sharing items that I bought last month, and am reviewing them. Was this a good purchase? Would I recommend? Stick around and see!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! It is getting to be Fall, and time for me to hibernate…. lol Seriously though, the leaves are starting to change in northern Indiana and the temps are starting to get a bit chilly! But today, I am sharing some purchases that I made last month (September) and I am going to review them for you! Hopefully this will be a nice change from what I normally do with my Favorite Things for the month.

I will tag items down below in the review, if they are still available.

What I Purchased/ Review

This post contains affiliate links, which means I may make a small commission at no cost to you. You can see my full disclosure HERE. However, I have purchased ALL of these products and the opinions are my own!

So the first item that I am going to talk about today are some earrings I purchased in the summer, but as it gets cooler, I find myself wearing them more. It is a pair or tortoise shell earrings. They are actually an acrylic earring. So they are lightweight. I love the way they look, and had been wanting a pair for a while. I found them on Amazon, you can see them HERE. They sent 3 sets of earring backs for the earrings. NONE of the kinds they send stayed on the earrings. I ended up losing the earrings off my ears several times. And lost a few of the backs. I ended up taking a pair of backs from a pair of earrings that I don’t use as much. And they have worked great. These weren’t expensive at all, so overall, I’d say they were a good purchase.

The next thing I had purchased maybe 2 months ago or so is this Amika ‘The Kure’ Intense Repair Mask for your hair. I have tried maybe one other Amika product in my life (dry shampoo, I believe?) and it was nice. It smelled great. So I thought I’d give this hair mask a go, even though I had absolutely LOVE and raved about the Moroccan Hair Mask that I got in my FabFitFun box.

I got the hair mask it looks like at the end of June. And I use it every time I wash my hair (usually every other day). It’s nice. But I don’t absolutely love it. I was hoping it would be a huge help to my dry ends, but it really hasn’t been as great as I had hoped. I still have some left and will use it until it is gone because it is decent. I’ve tried much worse. Out of 10, I’d give this hair product about a 6. I won’t repurchase. I will be going back to my Moroccan Gold Series Treatment!

The next item I got and will be discussing is this self-adhesive shelf liner. I used it in a DIY back to school project. You can see that time-lapse video HERE. This obviously is not an exciting product at all BUT it is a big deal, because it really made my shelf transform! It went from looking cheap, to looking almost new again! It is now about 2 months since I put the liner on, and it is holding up great! Even with 4 boys putting shoes on and pulling them off of the shelf, there aren’t any lifted corners or anything! I would recommend, and would definitely repurchase!

Another item I got in my quest to become more “green” in a slow but sure style… I bought THESE reusable sandwich bags. I purchased these at the beginning of September, so I haven’t got to use them a ton, but have used them several times. And I like them. I am still getting used to them. I don’t want to put meat or anything in them, just because I am afraid…lol It will just take some getting used to! But I actually have containers for my boys to pack their sandwiches in and they use these baggies if their container is dirty or if they need to pack an addition sandwich, or other items.

These actually DO clean up well. I got a walnut scrubber brush from Grove Collaborative and it cleans these reusable baggies really well. Final thoughts- I would repurchase. They are nice, sturdy, and easy to clean.

There are also a few things that I have purchased with in the last week or two that I will give a review on, including some rings off of Etsy. I will have to give a review later on those things, after I own them for a little longer than this!

In Closing

Thanks again for stopping by! I know this doesn’t seem like I purchased much in the last few months, but I didn’t feel the need to add in the winter pool cover, a few books that I am currently reading, and other items that are completely irrelevant to this blog. Hopefully you enjoyed this purchased and reviewed favorite things for this month! If you did, please let me know by liking this post! I don’t ever want to push products but as a mom, I want to be informed before I make a purchase, and thought this might help some other people out there before making purchases for themselves!

Also, with my love of thrift shopping, you may want to check out my new Poshmark closet HERE! I have purchased some items to sell (but if they don’t I would love to keep!).

And until next time, have an amazing week, friends!
