Better Version

This week, I’m not gonna lie, was tough. At 41, trying to figure out what I want to be when I grow up is difficult. Let’s first establish this- I LOVE my life. I have an amazing husband, the best kids, and life is good! But now, my kids don’t need me as much, and who am I?

Midlife Crisis?

Maybe.

But not in a I need to revert back to my teen years sort of way, or spend $100,000 on a sports car sort of way. But in who am I aside from a mom?

And in finding my answer, I look to who I was created to be. What have I always loved? What do I still gravitate towards, even if I feel I’m not as good as I once was?

So today I am trying to be a student. Tomorrow I will continue to be that student to be the best version of me.

In praying several months ago, I wrote this down, and I’m glad I did. It applies. Maybe for you too.

Enjoy.
